Red Hot!

Have you always wanted to wear RED lipstick, but just don't feel like it looks good on you?  Or maybe you feel like it's too bold, or too bright, or too dark.  I've heard it all . . . . but the truth is, you can do it!!  You just need to find the right shade for YOU!
Since we have entered the Holiday season, there are many events where you can dress up your look with a red lipstick.  Or just wear it everyday, sometimes it's fun to do something unexpected!
Here are a few helpful tips:
1. When shopping for a red lipstick, make sure you choose one that flatters your skin tone (Cool, Neutral,Warm)  Cool tones look best in a Red/Blue, Neutral will go with a true red, and Warm will get Red/Orange.
2.  Start with a lip balm, so that your lips look smooth and soft.  To get a really defined lip, use a red lipliner and draw your precise shape, filling in most of your lip with the liner.  Then you can top it with a lipstick or sheer gloss.
3..  Red lips need to be balanced with the rest of your makeup.  Avoid dark smokey eyes, and stick to a light shimmer shadow, black or brown liner, and lots of lashes!  Also, pick a warm pink blush to compliment the red.
4.  No Lacquered lips!  Try to avoid coating on too many layers of lipstick and gloss.  Stick to one or two coats in a satin or matte finish.

Here are some of the best Red Lipsticks that I think most people can wear because they are not too orange and not too blue . .  .

A great long wearing true, deep red!

A Warm-Neutral red (seen on Taylor Swift above)

Cool- Neutral red, in a long wearing crayon.  New Favorite!

A deeper, brick red

The perfect red liner that lasts a looong time

Veil . . . or No Veil?

It is the Classic Bridal look to have a long white veil complimenting your gown, but  . .  . times they are a changin'!
It has become increasingly popular to get a little more creative with your hair accessories.  And, as stylists, we absolutely love it!  We have seen so many Bride's add extra bling to their up-dos with flowers, feathers, and broaches.
If you still want to have a veil, Here's an idea:  Wear your veil to the ceremony, and then surprise your guests with a glamourous and fun hair piece for the reception!
Here are some super cute one's we have come across . .

Here are the sites, check them out!

Robin's Photoshoot !!!

We had so much fun Styling my Mom for her Photoshoot this past month. Laura wanted to bring out her green eyes and do a purple smokey look with a pink lip, and I styled her hair with a curling wand to crate soft natural waves. We are so thrilled with the results and cant wait to see our work on her CD Cover for her Christmas Album!!!Thanks to Melissa at MISSY SHOTS for the amazing Pictures!!!

Got oily Hair after 1 wash ...this is a must READ!!!

We all know it's not healthy to wash your hair everyday.  But, do you feel like you have to wash your hair because your hair gets oily?  Most of you probably don't realize that you can cure this dilema by just one simple change.  Listen Up......... Get new Shampoo & Conditioner, you are using the wrong kind for your hair if you get oily after 1 day. You will know you have the right products when you can go more than 1-2 days without having to wash your hair. My Top Favorite Shampoo & Conditioner at the Moment is TIGI Diamond Dreams - made with diamonds, cashmere & champagne-does this not sound amazing, it smells dreamy too!

Containing a blend of exquisite ingredients designed to create beautiful results whilst you indulge in ultimate luxury. Diamond Dust and Chrushed pearl provide brilliant shine; Champagne Extract intensely moisturises and provides antioxidants, and Cashmere smoothes and softens to control frizz.

Another Good tip for less oily Roots, whether you need volume in your hair or not, spray a little bit of Volumizing Root Spray, liquid not moose.
(my favorite is Redken's Volume Amplifier)

This will also help your roots from getting oily, plus it will do wonders for your hair the next day. Remember the dirtier your hair is, the longer your style will hold up for you throughout the day. Your best hair day should always be the day after you wash your hair.
