Valentine's Day Makeup Tips

VALENTINE'S DAY

is almost here, are you getting ready?!

While we girls are all for playing with makeup, trying new shades and bold colors, we realize that our guys are not!  Men love us looking our most natural and beautiful, without a stitch of makeup!  However, I would die going out in public, especially on Valentine's Day, with a completely bare face.  So, there are ways to get that "no makeup" look with the help of a few products and tips!

1. Instead of choosing a med- full coverage foundation, go with a tinted moisturizer instead and top with a powder.  It's a more natural finish and it will even out your skin tone without looking heavy.  Add concealer to cover a blemish or under eye circles, but keep it light.

2.  Skip the heavy dark eye shadow and go for a champange or taupe lightly swept across the lid.  Then add a black or brown liner softly smudged right onto the lash line, not too thick.  Wing it out a little for an extra flirty look.  Finish with a few coats of mascara.  Choose a long-wearing or waterproof liner and mascara, just in case you shed a tear or two!  *Try Urban Decay 24/7 pencil or Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes. For eyeshadow, try Shroom by MAC.

3.  Keep your skin glowing and touchable by using a cream blush.  It will melt into your skin and give a very natural finish, undetectable to the male eye!! Tip- Warm up the cream blush between two fingers and then press it into the apples of your cheeks.  *Try Stila Convertible Color in Peony , MAC Cremeblend in So Sweet, So Easy, or NARS Multiple stick in G-Spot

4.  Ditch the Lipstick or Gloss and go for a LIP STAIN.  This will ensure an entire evening of pink lips without it rubbing off on him.  There are so many color options for lip stains, so you can't go wrong.  Try a Red, bright pink or plum for the evening so you don't look washed out.  He'll love it!

* Products to try:  Revlon Just Bitten Stain + Balm ( doubled sided, stain on one end and lip balm on the other, genius!).  Tarte Lipsurgence ( These are a ligher stain, and have a lovely mint scent)
